HUSKY TOURS

Program Overview

The program begins with a relaxing walk accompanied by a calm and friendly dog, who will gently guide you along the trail. After the walk, you will enjoy a wilderness lunch by a beautiful small lake, surrounded by peaceful nature. During lunch, you can spend time with your dog, petting them and learning more about their life, training, and daily routines.

At the end of the experience, you are warmly invited to meet all of our dogs and puppies.

Approximately 2 hours.

Availability
August to the end of November.

Difficulty Level
Easy. Suitable for most participants with basic fitness. The walk is relaxed, and the dog provides light pulling assistance.

Equipment & Clothing
Participants should wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and comfortable walking shoes suitable for forest terrain. No special equipment is required.

Husky walk is a newly developed activity project designed to bring visitors closer to nature and dogs in calm, authentic way. The husky walk program combines light outdoor adventure, close animal interaction, local food and responsible tourism. By coosing travelling outside the high season you also support year-round wellbeing of our dogs. The concept focuses on meaningful encourters between guests, dogs and surrounding landscapes. We will serve you lunch which is produced in collaboraiotion with local food producers, the ingredients of lunch are collected from the surrounding nature. This project is funded by EU project money.

Program Overview

Experience the excitement of driving your own husky team through the colourful landscapes of autumn. Driving a husky cart requires participation and focus, making it both exciting and rewarding. This activity is a combination of adventure, nature, animal welfare and the joy of working together with our enthusiastic huskies. 

After the activity, guests have the opportunity to spend quality time with the huskies, getting to know their individual personalities and enjoying close interaction with the dogs. The experience continues in a traditional Finnish kota where guests can relax by the fire and listen to stories about life of dogs. There is also plenty of time to take photos with huskies.

Difficulty Level
Moderate. Suitable for most participants with basic fitness but need to be prepared self drive and minor physical activity by helping dogs on uphills.

Participants should wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes.

The Autumn Husky Cart Adventure is a newly developed project offering a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of Lapland outside the traditional winter season. As the temperatures begin to cool after summer, the huskies eagerly return to training. This perioid provides guests a chance to witness the dogs’ natural entusiasm and energy as they pull the carts along forest trails surrounded by vibrant autumn colors. In addition to offering meamorable experiences for visitors, autumn cart ride contributes significantly to the welfare of the dogs. Regular exercise, meaninful work and interaction with guests support the dogs’ wellbeing throughout the year. This project is funded by EU project money.

Life with the dogs.
Meet our puppies and participate in feeding and playing with our dogs. We have a warm fireplace in the center of the kennel where you can enjoy warm drinks and snacks.
